Нью-Йорка в 1898. Преимущественно жилой район, промышленные предприятия сконцентрированы в Лонг-Айленд-Сити [ Long Island City]. Соединен с другими районами туннелем [ Queens Midtown Tunnel], автомобильными и железнодорожными мостами, линиями метро [ subway]. Здесь находятся аэропорты Ла-Гуардия [ La Guardia International Airport] и Кеннеди [ Kennedy International Airport]. Колледжи Куинс [Queens College] и Йорк [York College], входящие в Городской университет Нью-Йорка [ City University of New York], Университет Св. Иоанна [St. John's University] и др. Крупная публичная библиотека [ Queens Borough Public Library]. В 1939-40 в микрорайоне Флашинг [Flushing] проходила Всемирная выставка "Мир завтрашнего дня" [New York World Fair ("World of Tomorrow")], в 1964-65 - Нью-Йоркская всемирная выставка [ New York World's Fair].
